LA CROSSE, Wis. – Berklee music grad. Boston busker. Co-founder with Gillian Welch of the legendary Nashville "Born To Cook" shows.

Now Lynn Biddick has come full circle back to her hometown on the upper Mississippi River to create the album that defines her career.

Ghost In The Bed is the first release on the new Momentous Records label founded by Grammy Award-winning engineer Brett Huus (Bill Miller, Michael Martin Murphey). On the album's 12 folk and jazz-inflected tracks, Biddick's expressive voice and piano and dulcimer playing are accompanied by a stellar studio band featuring Grammy-winning percussionist Terry Nirva (Bill Miller, Ariane Lydon) and ace bassists Larry Dalton and Tim Mullally. Rich Mac Donald, bandleader, educator and University of North Texas Jazz Studies alum, plays drums.

Standout tracks include "Open Road," a Merlefest songwriting contest winner, and the first released recording of "I Don't Want To Go Downtown," a tune written by Gillian Welch for one of the "Born To Cook" shows – done here by Biddick in an intimate piano trio setting. "Devil's Lake" adds the sweet six-string picking of acoustic guitar master Clay Riness.
